Our History
1970’s
The Thruway House Hotel was developed by Ken Raymond and Joe Scaring in 1976.
1980’s
Long and Raymond Real Estate was formed; several years later the Residential Coldwell Banker Franchise is purchased.
1990’s
Ken, along with his two daughters, developed a residential mortgage company which is later sold to SEFCU Mortgage Services and is now one of the largest lenders in the state. Dean DeVito partners with Ken to develop future business to include commercial real estate, commercial funding, property management, development of apartments, offices, retail, and residential subdivisions.
Several of the residential subdivisions include Red Rock Estates, Travers Meadows, Country Club Estates, Crimson Park, Jordon Estates, Lake Meadows and Neilson Landing – in addition to the ground-up development of the Riverwalk on the Hudson apartment community.
1997
Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate is formed.
2000’s
Continued developing apartment communities throughout the Capital Region, including Oak Hill, Shelter Cove, River’s Edge, Waters View, Pavilion Grand, Electric City, Hudson Square, The Hamlet and The Delaware, as well as repositioning existing complexes. Prime also continued the development of over 1,000 residential housing units in the Albany, Syracuse and Rochester Metro areas.
2004
Prime Management is founded.
2006
Prime Companies is founded to brand past and future real estate ventures.
2009
Todd Curley becomes a partner in Coldwell Banker Commercial after joining Prime in 2006 to run the Commercial Real Estate division.
2011
Prime Corporate Apartments is founded.
2012
Mike Raymond joins Prime Companies with a focus on commercial funding and accounting.
To date, the Prime Companies team has developed, constructed, and managed in excess of 2,000 apartments, commercial buildings which include over 3,000,000 sq. ft. of office and retail space and over 1,000 residential building lots.
