For over 40 years, Prime Companies has led the industry in offering a full line of real estate and hospitality services. These include: facilitating commercial and residential real-estate acquisition and liquidation, raising debt and equity, developing land and managing ground up projects to include over 20 residential sub-divisions, hotels, commercial office buildings, and over 2,000 luxury apartments as well as lifestyle retail. Prime Corporate Apartments is a segment of, and managed by, Prime Companies’ Hospitality. In addition, Prime is affiliated with Coldwell Banker Prime Properties residential and commercial real estate (the largest franchise operation in New York State and the 5th largest Coldwell Banker affiliate internationally).

KEN RAYMOND

Founder, Chief Executive Officer

Ken Raymond’s successful entrepreneurial career spans over 35 years in the real estate, finance, and hospitality industries. He is the broker/owner of Coldwell Banker Prime Properties which is the largest Coldwell Banker residential and commercial real estate franchise operations in New York State.  He is a partner of Parc Partners, owner and affiliated with Holiday Inn Express and Hilton Hotels, Indigo hotels, as well as independent brands.

Ken is the Founder and CEO of Prime Companies, and has led the industry in offering a full line of real estate and hospitality services, including facilitating commercial and residential real-estate acquisition and liquidation, raising debt and equity, developing land, and managing ground up projects, including residential sub-divisions, hotels, commercial office buildings, and over 2,000 luxury apartments as well as lifestyle retail.

Ken is also affiliated with SEFCU mortgage services, which acquired Home Funding Finders, the largest residential mortgage banker in its market. Ken’s involvement with SEFCU came about when they acquired Home Funding Finders Mortgage Company which was second when his company, Home Funding Finders was acquired. 

Ken is a graduate of Paul Smith’s College and currently serves on the Board of Trustees. He also serves on the board of Trustees for Siena College, and is an Emeritas Board of Trustees Member for Albany Boys Club. He is President of the Board of Trustees for Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany with a strong focus on housing and the reopening of Camp Scully, and is a major contributor of these endeavors.

Ken maintains a strong presence in the community. He was founder and former president of Albany County Convention Visitors Bureau. He has previously served on the Board of Trustees for St. Gregory’s School for Boys in Loudonville and Friends in Adoption and is also active with Coaches vs Cancer and Real Men Wear Pink, which raise funds for cancer research for the American Cancer Society. In addition, Ken is very active in many other charitable organizations throughout the Capital Region.

Ken is married to Patricia, is a proud father to Mary Ann, Michelle and Michael and has four grandchildren.

DEAN DEVITO

Principal

Dean DeVito, a Principal of Prime Companies, has more than 30 years’ experience in real estate, construction, land development, property management, and finance. Dean is an owner of Coldwell Banker Commercial Prime Properties, a division of Prime Companies that holds numerous awards for being the top Coldwell Banker Commercial brokerage firm in New York State. In addition he is a partner in Prime Regional Center, LLC which raises project equity through the EB5 foreign investment program. As an owner of Prime Companies, Dean is also involved in the ownership and management of numerous luxury apartment communities, office buildings, and hotels.

 

Accomplishments/Experience

  • Ground up development and ongoing management of in excess of 2,000 luxury apartment , hotel and residential housing lots.

  • Owner Prime Corporate Apartments in the Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, and Buffalo, NY areas for extended stay furnished corporate housing services.

  • Vast expertise in all facets of the complicated real estate development process including land selection, due diligence, government approvals, oversight of architectural and engineering design, grant and PILOT facilitation, management of team professionals, selection of construction delivery method, construction review through certificate of occupancy, project debt and equity facilitation and management of the stabilized project.

Community

Dean has been involved in many community and charity ventures such as the DePaula Drive For a Cause campaign that supports charitable organizations throughout the Capital Region and the American Cancer Society of the Capital Region’s Real Men Wear Pink initiative that raises money for breast cancer research. Dean was a past CIREB board member , member of the Siena athletic advisory council , Highschool wrestling coach , CYO basketball and Guilderland softball coach.

 

Background/Education

Prior to co-founding the previously mentioned ventures, Dean owned DD&P Building and Development, a custom home building company in the Albany area, from 1994-2009. He was also co-founder and owner of Paragon Prime Funding, a full-service mortgage and consulting firm that structures and originates permanent, bridge, construction, and mezzanine financing on behalf of commercial real estate developers and business owner-occupants. Dean holds a B.S. in Environment Science with a minor in Marketing from Syracuse University.

TODD CURLEY

Vice President

Todd Curley, Vice President of Prime Companies, joined the company in 2005 after being named a partner in Prime Development and Manager of Coldwell Banker Commercial Prime Properties. At the age of 29, he was one of the youngest Coldwell Banker Commercial Managers in the country. Todd has been responsible for a full range of real estate development projects, with expertise in site selection and acquisition, contract and lease negotiation, government zoning and planning approval, permitting, general construction, construction management, and coordination of all supervisory personnel including architects, attorneys, engineers, project managers, and superintendents.

Accomplishments/Experience

  • Has helped to complete more than 40 projects with a total completed value in excess of $300,000,000.

  • Has been recognized as a Top Agent for Coldwell Banker Commercial in New York State.

  • In the top 5% of all Coldwell Banker Commercial agents globally.

  • Involved in more than $100,000,000 in real estate acquisitions and dispositions.

  • Responsible for a range of leasing and property management duties.

  • Extensive experience working with banks and other lending institutions on financing real estate projects.

Community

Todd is affiliated with many community organizations. He is a Trustee of Catholic Charities, serves on the board of the Albany County Landbank, and is on the Siena College Board of Advisors. Todd is also a member of Albany Academy’s Alumni Board, and a JDRF Committee Member.

 

Background/Education

Prior to joining Prime Companies, Todd worked as an Associate for Nigro Companies and as a Project Manager for Columbia Development Companies. He holds a B.S. in Marketing and Management with a concentration in Finance from Siena College.

MICHAEL RAYMOND

Chief Financial Officer

Mike Raymond, Prime Companies’ Chief Financial Officer, oversees all aspects of the finance department including budgeting, internal controls, and monthly and annual financial reporting of the company’s complex portfolio of real estate brands. He also oversees the monitoring of Prime Companies’ current real estate portfolio which includes hospitality, multi-family, and commercial properties.

 

Accomplishments/Experience

  • Extensive expertise in various aspects of finance including internal controls, budgeting, and financial reporting.

  • Named one of Albany Business Review’s 40 Under 40 in 2018.

  • Development and acquisition of future investments.

  • Monitoring of Prime Companies’ real estate portfolio.

Community

  • Mike serves on the Planning Committee for the American Cancer Society of the Capital Region’s yearly Coaches vs. Cancer event which raises funds for cancer research.

 

Background/Education

Prior to joining Prime Companies, Mike worked with financial firms including The Ayco Company, L.P, Sandler O’Neill & Partners, and Interstate Commodities. Mike holds a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Economics from Siena College. He also holds an M.S. in Financial Analytics from the Pace University School of Business in New York.
