PRIME COMPANIES ANNOUNCES DEMOLITION UNDERWAY FOR $20 MILLION ELECTRIC CITY APARTMENT PROJECT IN DOW

Demolition on the lower State Street corridor of downtown Schenectady began Thursday, February 11 to clear the way for the Electric City Luxury Apartment project, a $20 million investment from Prime Companies and Highbridge Development. Demolition will include the former Robinson’s Furniture, Olender Mattress and Absolute Pest Control buildings. The 144,000 square-foot, four-story Electric City Apartments will face State Street and Erie Boulevard, and will include 9,900 square feet of ground floor retail space, 105 luxury apartments, and underground parking.
