SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- As the saying goes, it was out with the old, in with the new. Lower State Street in Schenectady is in the middle of a major face lift.
"This is the next step in downtown development for Schenectady," said Capital Region Chamber President Charles Steiner.

HighBridge Development and Prime Companies are building a $20 million development that will include more than 100 luxury apartments as well as retail and office space.
"It's exciting, because for retail and commercial to exist, you need residential," Steiner said. "So that combination of residential along with your retail offerings is a significant next piece for Schenectady's growth." Read entire article.
